Introduction to my internship experience

Before I introduce my individual role in this internship, I want to give an overview regarding the program and academy. Abhyaz internship and training program is an extensive internship program offering students, graduates, and job-seekers hands-on project and real-life work exposure. Living upto the name 'Abhyaz', which translates into "developing", this academy provides platform for individuals to learn and nurture themselves into industry personnel.
Now, introducing myself, I am Payal Nanda who served as a content writer intern for a tenure of one month at Abhyaz. I was warmly welcomed by my team, which made it easier to understand my job-role and the company's goals. Selection process:
After applying for my internship, I was assigned some basic work regarding my job-role evaluation for a duration of one week, after which the shortlisted candidates including me received offer letter for onboarding.
Onboarding session:
In the onboarding session, I was made aware of the academic regulations, tools and the work procedure of assigned department.
Mentorship and guidance:
After joining my department, that is, content development, I was assisted by my mentors and guided by senior interns regarding the tasks assigned.
Seeking feedback:
Mentors evaluated our tasks regularly and feedback was given regarding the same which improved our abilities. Also, peer-to-peer grading among interns helped us in networking and having a collaborative workspace.
Tool used:
As a content writer, the tool I used for my work was Zoho Writer, where we can create and edit our documents. After the tasks were finalized, they had to be uploaded to our academic workdrive, which would be later assessed by our mentors and interns.
Tasks assigned
Task 1:
The first task assigned to me was to restructure the contents that had to be updated on MTAB website. This task gave me a technical insight into the company's footprints, offerings, products and solutions. With the constant assistance of my mentor Saumya Tiwari, I was able to craft a well-made content for the website.
Task 2:
The second task assigned was to reframe the question structure for a comprehensive training survey run by the academy. Being an intern myself, I framed the questions from an intern's perspective and got an overview regarding the tools and program budgets.
Task 3:
The third task assigned was to write blogs for the brand new transformation in the academy, that is, enterprise transformation to enlighten other organizations regarding the same. This helped me gain insight into factors of enterprise like sales and marketing, finance, HR, etc.. My mentor Mrs. Trapti Singh was a constant guide for me, giving me clear inputs regarding the usecases, tools, benefits, challenges, and implementation of this transformation.
Since my internship period was for a very short timespan of one month, I couldn't get the chance of working on any external projects. I definitely could have gained more exposure in working for three months tenure since one month is basically our training period where we understand the work procedure and are assigned with small tasks. In spite of that, I got a valuable insight into real-time working environment.
Challenges and Learning curves
Embarking on my domain made me realize that this can be both exciting as well as demanding with it's fair share of challenges. Creating appealing and well-structured content served as a stumbling block in my journey. Added to that, adapting to the technical writing environment in order to keep the customers updated about the ongoings through the contents initially seemed challenging.
While the challenges are inevitable, this experience helped me gain both professional and personal skills. By understanding and implementing SEO strategies, researching thoroughly and adapting a responsive mindset to intake feedbacks, I managed to get through my journey without incident.Personal development beyond internship
This program offered me insight into wide range of industries, technology, market and more. The challenges I encountered throughout the internship helped me become adaptive, get better time-management abilities, and gain awareness of my own strengths and shortcomings. The analytical, problem-solving, communication and writing skills I acquired through this will always hold a prolific role in framing me for competitive job market.

To sum it up, Abhyaz internship program is a revitalized experience that fosters development, education, and self-discovery. This gave me an opportunity to work with teams with diverse perspectives aiming for common goals which helped me expand my professional connections.
