Introduction
I am Nikhil Kulthe, and I have joined Abhyaz as Cloud Computing Intern and completed one month internship from June 2023 to July 2023.I’m happy that I have been a part of it and learned a lot of things which are related to my course and my workplace. The onboarding process was significantly unlike from past internships, and for me, it was really overwhelming. We then originally had the task of performing our onboarding process. We appreciate the organizers' assistance in making them simple.
About Abhyaz & Team
I began this internship with a thorough introduction so that I could fully grasp the fundamental principles and notions of cloud computing. I accomplished this by getting to know the major cloud service suppliers, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). I saw right once that cloud computing was not just a passing trend but rather a paradigm shift that had fundamentally changed the IT industry.
My internship benefited from the opportunity from Abhyaz since it gave me real-world experience virtually. By providing me with their thoughts, recommendations, and criticism on my work, my teammates and peers have been incredibly encouraging and cooperative with me. I want to express my gratitude to Ms. Harsha Jain, one of my mentors who helped me tremendously by advising me during my internship.
Hands-On Experience
I investigated a variety of cloud services provided by top suppliers throughout my internship. I developed practical expertise in installing apps, providing virtual servers, and controlling cloud storage. Because of this, I was able to appreciate the strength and adaptability that the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) models provide.
I have used and explored the tools throughout the internship such as Lumi software , docker, jupyter notebook,VS code , AWS and its services etc.
One of the highlights of my internship was working on the cloud deployment of scalable apps. I learned how to launch and maintain apps more quickly using tools like AWS services. The potential of the cloud to manage high traffic loads and dynamically scale resources in response to demand was also made clear to me as my technical expertise was enhanced.
The administration and preservation of data were essential components of my internship. I got interested learning how to create scalable, dependable, and affordable storage solutions for various use cases using cloud storage services like AWS S3. I also looked into cloud databases like AWS RDS and Azure SQL Database to learn how to manage and work with data in the cloud.
Another crucial area I concentrated on throughout my internship was cost efficiency. Although cloud computing provides scalability and flexibility, it's also critical to minimize expenses. I looked into some of the cost-management tools that cloud service providers offer, including AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, and GCP Billing. By utilizing reserved instances, designing cost-effective designs, and optimizing resource utilization, I was able to effectively control cloud costs.
Conclusion
In conclusion, my cloud computing internship was a great learning opportunity that broadened my perspectives and equipped me with practical information about how to take use of the cloud's possibilities. I witnessed firsthand how businesses are changing thanks to cloud technologies, which offer scalability, flexibility, security, and cost-effectiveness. As the world depends more and more on digital infrastructure, cloud computing continues to be a driving force behind innovation and digital transformation.
