Introduction:

I am Harsha Jain. I worked as an Engineering Intern Lead for the past three months at Abhyaz. My life has altered significantly due to this three-month internship, both personally and professionally. I had the opportunity to communicate with many people from many departments, including Engineering, Software, Cloud & DevOps. Because of this opportunity, my approach to dealing with any issue has changed.

My Work and Internship Experience:

This was my first experience as a team lead, so initially, it was a bit difficult to understand everything. But with the support of every individual in the Abhyaz team from Mentors to Interns, I was able to handle everything and completed my internship. The following are all the tasks I accomplished throughout this internship.

  1. Interns Onboarding: During every onboarding week, I assisted new engineering interns with each task and helped them become familiar with the platform.

  1. Interns reporting monitor and connecting with HR: My duties as an Intern Lead included keeping track of attendance and communicating with the HR team to update them on the status of the interns.

  1. Interns Outcome Verification: Each week when interns completed their tasks, I checked every intern's outcomes and gave them feedback or suggestions. After that, we completed peer-to-peer grading for each week's submissions.

  1. Interns Reliving status update: With the help of the intern’s inputs each week, I updated the interns relieving information with mentors and the HR team.

  1. Intern follow-up for the webinar session: With the help of the Engineering Interns and Marketing team, I successfully Conducted ten webinars. I want to express my gratitude to all the engineering interns who conducted the webinar and all the attendees. Additionally, I want to congratulate the marketing team for hosting a seamless webinar.

  1. Intern follow-up for product testing & Helping the Marketing team with the engineering inputs: My ability to delegate different product testing to interns and assist the marketing team whenever they needed assistance or input from the engineering team was made possible by my mentors.

  1. Tracking the issue and updating in GitHub & Interns' task allocation in GitHub: My mentors and I created a GitHub issue where we update each activity's details and other vital data to keep track of each activity record.

  1. Connecting with Mentors Daily:  By using virtual breakout rooms, I was able to contact my mentors every day, and they were always available to help and mentor me.

Throughout my three-month internship, I also accomplished additional activities like assisting with course development, generating course reports, and updating everything in one place using the Moodle, GitHub, and Zoho Workdrive platforms.

Tools Used :

GitHub is a code hosting platform for version control and collaboration. It lets you and others work together on projects from anywhere.

3. Zoho Workdrive:

4. Zoho Sheet:

Heartfelt Thanks to my  Mentors and Colleagues:

I want to thank my mentors, Jayanthi Ma'am, Tamizh Sir, and Dinesh Sir,  for their unwavering support and guidance. I also want to thank the content development department, HR team, and other departments for their assistance. My new teammate Sumera deserves special thanks for her unwavering support over the past few weeks.

Last but not least, I'd like to express my gratitude to the engineering team's interns (Core Engineering, Software, Cloud and DevOps Interns) for their ongoing support, inspiration, and cooperation. Without their support and encouragement, I would not have been successful in doing this.

Conclusion :

Working as an engineering intern lead was, all in all, a great experience. I had a great time throughout those three months. I've learned a lot about teamwork, time management, and communication during my internship.

I want to thank Abhyaz for giving me such a fantastic opportunity.
