Introduction:
I am Yash Soni and I joined as an Electronics and Communication Engineering intern at Abhyaz on 31st July 2023. I was very happy and glad to say that I have an internship tag from Abhyaz Mtab Technology to include in my resume. The internship helps in improving the practical knowledge that we studied as a theory in our colleges. In that way, Abhyaz provided me a good practical knowledge. For a successful internship completion, the crucial thing is good mentorship. In that way, Abhyaz provided a good mentorship for my successful internship completion. My colleagues also helped me in a better way by sharing their ideas and knowledge.
Selection Process:
The selection process of the Abhyaz was nice. They gave us two questions. One problem was a task given by them. We should find a solution in terms of engineering aspects and simulate that solution in any of the open-source software. Another one was to explain and simulate any of the projects we had done before. This way of the hiring process of Abhyaz impressed me and made me complete the internship at Abhyaz.
Tools Used:
I finished a total of Six outcomes in a period of Three months. I learned about many software’s and tools. Some of them are listed below:
EasyEDA: It is a web-based Electronic Design Automation (EDA) platform for designing electronic circuits and PCBs. It's a cloud-based tool with a user-friendly interface for schematic capture and PCB layout. EasyEDA offers a vast component library, simulation capabilities, and real-time collaboration features, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced designers. Users can create, simulate, and order PCBs directly through the platform.
Cisco Packet Tracer: It is an educational network simulation tool developed by Cisco Systems. It's designed for learning and teaching networking concepts. Packet Tracer offers a virtual environment to create, configure, and simulate networks using various Cisco devices. This tool supports multiple networking protocols and provides realistic network visualizations. Users can experiment with different device models, practice network configurations, and troubleshoot issues.
ThinkerCad: It is a user-friendly, web-based 3D design and electronics platform that empowers users to create, simulate, and visualize 3D models and electronic circuits. It's particularly popular for educational purposes and novice designers. Tinkercad's intuitive interface allows easy drag-and-drop 3D modeling, enabling the creation of prototypes and custom designs without the need for extensive design experience.
Falstad circuit Stimulator: It is an online electronic circuit simulation tool that offers users an interactive platform for designing, simulating, and analyzing electronic circuits. It provides a user-friendly, web-based interface for creating and testing digital and analog circuits, making it valuable for both students and hobbyists. The tool supports educational and practical applications, enabling users to gain hands-on experience with electronics, troubleshoot circuit designs, and understand the behavior of complex systems.
Completed Modules Details:
Robotics and Control: One of the most remarkable aspects of my internship at Abhyaz was my involvement in the "Robotics and Control" module, particularly the project centered around designing an obstacle-avoiding car. This project showcased the fascinating intersection of robotics, control systems, and practical application. Our objective was to create an autonomous vehicle capable of navigating through an environment while avoiding obstacles, achieved through a synergy of hardware and software components.
The project's is made on “ThinkerCad” and core components included the Arduino UNO microcontroller, ultrasonic sensor, a servo motor, DC gear motor, L293d motor driver IC etc. The Arduino was the project's control center, processing data from ultrasonic sensors to make real-time decisions. These ultrasonic sensors were crucial for obstacle detection, emitting and measuring ultrasonic waves to gauge distances. The servo motor enabled precise input of data from ultrasonic sensor from three directions. Tinkercad provided a digital environment for design, programming, and simulation.
This project deepened my understanding of control systems and autonomous vehicles. It set the stage for a promising future in electronics and robotics, emphasizing the importance of practical learning in these fields. This hands-on experience has significantly broadened my technical skill set and inspired me to take on more complex challenges in the realm of electronics and robotics.
Computer Communication: This Module was designed to demonstrate the principles of network architecture, configuration, and communication. Cisco Packet Tracer, a versatile educational network simulation tool, served as our platform for creating a virtual network environment.
In this project, we designed and built a network topology from scratch, simulating a real-world network. We connected routers, switches, and end devices, configuring IP addresses and routing protocols. The project aimed to create a network infrastructure that could efficiently transmit data between devices.
The project presented challenges in terms of configuring devices, ensuring proper communication, and troubleshooting connectivity issues. By addressing these challenges, I gained a profound understanding of network design, routing, and network security. This hands-on experience reinforced the theoretical knowledge gained in my academic studies.

Skills I Gained:
I gained invaluable experience in Electronics and Communication Engineering, honing essential skills. I became proficient at submitting work on time, recognizing the critical importance of meeting deadlines in a professional setting. Additionally, I cultivated strong teamwork and collaboration skills, learning to effectively share ideas and knowledge with colleagues. This experience reinforced my problem-solving abilities and enhanced my adaptability, key traits in the dynamic field of technology.
Overall Experience:
As an Electronics and Communication Engineer intern, I gained a lot of practical knowledge. This internship also improved my skills like submitting on time and quality work and also helped me to witness the work environment. So overall it’s been a beautiful Journey and a good learning journey at Abhyaz for me for the past three months.
