Application Development of Motion Control Robotic Arm Using Servo Motor

Specific tasks and jobs can be quickly programmed and executed by robotic arms. These machines are efficient and highly accurately at their tasks and targets. These robots are mostly motor-driven and are most often used for highly repetitive procedures that require rapid and consistent performance for a very long period. Most industries involved with production, machining and component assembly use such rapid and accurate robots. In this project a robotic arm is designed which mimics the hand movements of the instructor. These kinds of robots can be used in industries which require human assistance/intelligence along with machine strength/support. This tracing can be done by several robots at a time therefore saving considerable time and effort to perform numerous tasks simultaneously. Several mounting assemblies and motor holding equipments are used to achieve these desired movements. A servo motor which can rotate up to 190 degrees is used for this project. The instructor who guides the robot has to wear flex sensors mounted gloves to allow the robot to mimic their actions.

Robotic Welding System Design, Programming and Simulation of Industrial Application

The application of industrial robots for high-volume productivity has become increasingly common, with robotized gas metal arc welding (GMAW) generally being used. Robotic welding automates the welding process to increase accuracy, enhance safety and reduce the time needed to complete each project. It is an alternative to manual metal joining. The project work involves design of arc welding systems such as selection of robots, welding torch, welding power source, safety devices, fixture selection, programming and simulation of arc welding applications.
