My Tenure as a Mechanical Engineer at ABHYAZ

Introduction

I’m Dushyanthan, I interned at Abhyaz as a mechanical engineering intern for one month. During my one-month internship at Abhyaz, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the field of mechanical engineering, gaining valuable hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of the profession.

I worked on designing mechanical components using CAD software, such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. This involved creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings.

Recruitment

The recruitment process at Abhyaz is distinctive. It begins with enrollment in a course, during which you are required to submit a personal and evaluation portfolio. This portfolio is then assessed, and selections are made based on its evaluation.

Responsibilities

I collaborated with a multidisciplinary team, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers. This experience taught me the importance of effective communication and teamwork in a professional setting. I presented my findings and progress in regular team meetings, honing my presentation and public speaking skills. 

Skills Developed

I developed a problem-solving mindset, learning to approach engineering challenges systematically and creatively. The internship helped me develop essential soft skills, such as time management, adaptability, and effective communication. I gained insights into the industry standards and best practices in mechanical engineering, which will be invaluable in my future career. 

Conclusion

My internship at Abhyaz was a transformative experience that gave me a solid mechanical engineering foundation. It was an exciting journey of learning, growth, and practical application of theoretical knowledge. The skills and experiences I gained during this period have equipped me to take on more challenging roles in the future and have reaffirmed my passion for mechanical engineering.
