Implementing Virtual Office in MTC  

1970's, Where it all started. Curiosity about what started. Isn't it?

 It's not a great deal but the very familiar concept we all knew about, Remote Work or in simple words, Work From Home (WFH). It's a concept of workers working remotely from their homes rather than from an office environment. This gives the workers more freedom, saves time and money of commuting and more flexible work-life balance. Internet Technological advancements like Cloud Computing, Groupware and Video Conferencing Tools made this remote work more common in the 2000's.

In this blog, we are going to experience Behind The Screens (BTS) of How we implemented Virtual Office at MTC (MTAB Technological Center). It will give a detailed description of the implementation process in MTC as follows: the need for change, preparations, implementation, impacts and the future outlook. 

Momentum for Enterprise Transformation :

Since 2008, MTC was doing great as a Training Solutions Provider by implementing innovative ideas to empower workforce for the Advanced Manufacturing Technology and Industry 4.0. It adapted so many tech advancements in the these years like LMS and Remote Training Systems to enhance learning practices and strengthen the skills of students in Institutions and employees from industrial sectors. 

In 2019, the Covid outbreak happened all over the world. Manufacturing Industries were already started to step into Digital Enterprise Transformation to get ready for Industry 4.0 technologies before the Pandemic itself. 

Still there is a huge disruption caused in labour markets, enterprises and various business sectors. To decrease the covid transmission, governments made strict restrictions all over the world. MTC also realised that there was no other option and needed to work remotely.   

Tactical Success of MTC :

MTC equipped with Remote Training Systems to Teach and Train the students / employees during the pandemic. Now they need an office space, not a physical one (due to covid restrictions) but a Virtual one to collaborate as a team and work together remotely. Making a Virtual Office, collaboration with current Remote Training Systems would be more efficient for the business and decrease the operation cost. 

Executing Virtual Office :

We collaborated with Cyril Chemparathy, built a LMS platform integrated with Virtual Office to solve the remote workforce for MTC. Using MoodleCloud LMS for Teaching / Training Purpose and a Plugin for BigBlueButton in the MoodleCloud, which works as a Virtual Workspace for the MTC team.

Amazing After-effects :

     Virtual Workspace paved way for MTC to expand their payroll and introduce different job roles across various business functions.

     The work timing has become more flexible for the workers because they can work from anywhere from they want just with internet access.

     Productivity increases due to the elimination of commuting, accessing skilled people from all over the world and data driven insights. 

Expected Enterprise Expansion :

MTC's Virtual Office is not just a space for workforce but enhanced as a place for continuous learning. It is poised to go international for business expansion. For that, Virtual office will be a great tool to work with international clients performing with global talents.
